Business Process Models, Blueprints and Work Instructions
Before an organization can use AI to improve their business processes, they must have an exact description of those processes. It’s a prerequisite.
For that matter, it’s not just AI: just to be able to control what is happening, people need a mutually agreed understanding of how their own business processes work – a “Blueprint”.
Yet many organizations struggle to formalize these processes. They either lack the time, budget, or resources to build a Blueprint, or their existing documentation had become so outdated that it no longer reflects how people actually use their business systems to perform their work.
SplitLogiX employ AI (instead of large teams of people) to quickly and inexpensively build a Business Process Model with multiple levels of detail and formalize it in a Blueprint that serves as the agreed descriptor of the business processes. We can then also add system screenshots and other useful tools to convert the signed-off processes into authorized Work Instructions to train people and to audit compliance.
So yester-year:
- Laboriously writing procedures in hardcopy
- Laboriously drawing flow diagrams on Whiteboards or with Visio
- Many, many months to complete
- Many, many expensive internal and external resources
Process Models at four levels of progressively more detail
SplitLogiX place the business processes in context at Level One by individualizing standard industry models specifically for each client.
SplitLogiX comprehensively identify the core business processes at Level Two, providing Executive insight on the scope before diving into the details.
SplitLogiX focus Level Three on “What are you trying to do and why?” for each business process identified at the previous level.
SplitLogiX deliver at Level Four the process flows, business rules, system elements, responsible person, and other details for each individual business process. This is the level of Work Instructions.
SplitLogiX Track Record
One or our clients wanted an answer to the question: “How must we adapt our business processes if we decide to move manufacturing from the Far East to North America?”
SplitLogiX required 6 weeks to build their Business Process Model for this new Supply Chain.
One or our clients wanted an answer to the question: “How should we prepare for the upcoming switch from our outdated procedures to our new state-of-the-art AI-driven business system?”
SplitLogiX required 3 weeks to build As-Is and To-Be versions of their Business Process Model, highlighting differences between the two that point to the most likely risks of failure on Go-live day. Then we built Work Instructions and User Acceptance Tests biased towards those risks.
”When Go!Foton requires professional, in-depth expertise on business process design and implementation, we turn to Adri McCaskill and her people at SplitLogiX. They work as part of our team, deliver results often exceeding expectations, they complete on schedule, and they contract within a reasonable budget. We consider our partnership with them a strategic asset.”

AI Powered Live Process Models
SplitLogiX connect our client’s live systems and data with an AI-powered process orchestration model.

Example One:
A SplitLogiX client who needs to easily assemble up-to-date information about the business when the underlying data must be extracted from multiple systems and databases

The databases are live, which means the information delivered to the user changes dynamically in real-time as actual events in the underlying systems unfold.
Example Two:
A SplitLogiX client who needs to focus on a specific business process because of a challenging problem, an opportunity, or an experiment.

Users just ask questions of the AI and get answers. It works like a regular chatbot, but the answers come from your data.
911 Warehouse Rescue

Emergency Room practices differ from regular medical procedures because life or death often depends on the speed of the intervention.
SplitLogiX use the same strategy to focus on speed and short-term solutions to save a failing warehouse.

SplitLogiX 911 Warehouse Rescue Strategy
We start with Triage, where the brutal decisions need to be made what to try saving and what to let go. It is a Processes-People-Technology conundrum that a failing warehouse probably shied away from.

Then we “Stop-the-bleeding” where the short-term objective is NOT to fix things permanently; for now, it is to stop the situation from getting worse. Our interventions are sometimes crude but always quick to implement. We sacrifice elegance by trying anything that works quickly, improvising fast as we see what works and what not.
Finally, we launch a Disciplined Recovery, which prioritizes action plans to take into consideration a (patient) warehouse that may still be fragile. Instead of reactive firefighting, the structured recovery may require redesigning warehouse processes, aligning WMS technology configurations to actual business needs, and upgrading workforce performance with guided training and handholding.
